Boosterthon
Thank you to all of you who donated and supported this year’s Boosterthon Fun Run Fundraiser.  The students raised more than $15,000 for Rice Creek’s new playground equipment.  Now it’s time to turn the pledges in to promises.  All money should be turned in ASAP!  Thanks again for all of your support!

SC State House Field Study
Our last 3rd grade Field Study is on May 13, 2015.  We will be traveling to the SC State House.  We will get to travel the grounds and go inside the State House.  We will conclude our trip with a picnic lunch (weather permitting).  The cost of this field study is $5.  Please check your child’s folder for the permission slip.  Thanks!

Interims Are Available
Interims are available on Parent Portal.  Be sure to check this frequently to see how your child is doing.  You may notice that your child does not have many grades just yet.  This is due to the ACT Aspire testing that we just wrapped up.  We wanted to ensure that students were ready for this testing experience and therefore spent class time reviewing course material and test taking strategies.  Now that testing is over, we are back on normal schedule and you will notice more grades coming home and in Parent Portal. Thank you so much for understanding.  Please let me know if you have any questions/concerns.
