Water Bottles!! 
At times, we need to hydrate our brains. We learn and focus better when we are hydrated. Water bottles are allowed but they must have a PULL UP spout, like a sports bottle below. We do not want any spills, especially around technology.

September is Attendance Awareness Month!
Sonic has offered an attendance incentive to all Rice Creek students!  If students have perfect attendance, no tardies, and no early dismissal days in the month of September, our neighborhood Sonic will give our students coupons for some free treats!

Have you scheduled your conference? The half day Thursday, Sept. 22nd is set aside for conferences. If Thursday doesn't work for your schedule, a few other days and times have been set aside.  Please check your email to setup your conference on Sign Up Genius.

We have started working on our "Inspiration Page" in our Writer's Notebooks.  Our focus this year is on becoming young authors!  We will be writing in almost every subject and on a wide variety of topics.  My goal is for all students to enjoy writing their thoughts, feelings and stories and to share them in a variety of formats.  Be on the look-out for some student writing on this blog!
