September is Attendance Awareness Month!

Sonic has offered an attendance incentive to all Rice Creek students! If students have perfect attendance, no tardies, and no early dismissal days in the month of September, our neighborhood Sonic will give our students coupons for some free treats!

Our Book Fair is here! The first Book Fair of the year is September 19 - 23rd. The theme of the Fair is "Bookaneer Book Fair" - pirates! Students will preview the Book Fair as a class and will have the opportunity to purchase books for their home library!

Becoming Authors!

We have started working on our "Inspiration Page" in our Writer's Notebooks. Our focus this year is on becoming young authors! We will be writing in almost every subject and on a wide variety of topics. My goal is for all students to enjoy writing their thoughts, feelings and stories and to share them in a variety of formats. Be on the look-out for some student writing on this blog!
